ABOUT THE CLUB The Ulster Classic Motorcycle Club was set up in the late summer of 2014 by enthusiasts of classic and twinshock off-road motorcycling in Northern Ireland for riders aged 16 years and up and for machines from the eras of the 1960's through to the mid 1980's.
AIMS The aim of the Club is to hold events that are both enjoyable and great fun for both rider and spectator with the emphasis on a fun and friendly atmosphere. Events are run mainly on natural grass courses more suited to older bikes and riders.
HISTORY Our first event took place on 30th August 2014 at Ballyblack Road just outside Newtownards with a small but enthusiastic entry. There followed a short but successful Autumn series of races held in the same year outside Donaghadee on a barley stubble field.
From these humble beginnings the Ulster Classic MCC has hosted racing events under the auspices of the AMCA in 2015,2016 and 2017 and has steadily built a healthy membership of riders who race for the fun and craic at some very picturesque spots in County Down and occasionally beyond.
Last year the club held an inaugural 5 round Championship sponsored by a local firm WD Foods which yielded our first overall Club Champion in youngster Jamie McMaster. This year the Club hopes to extend the number of rounds of the series again with the generous help of WD Foods and another local business Blumarine who are sponsoring us for the first time this year.
We look forward to great success in 2018.We also welcome new members whether they wish to ride, officiate or just spectate, our message is this...Come along and join in the fun!
